Gov. Otti Submits Supreme Court Judgement CTC to INEC, Solidifying Victory

Abuja, Nigeria – Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, today led a high-powered delegation from the Labour Party (LP) to the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja, where he formally presented the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the recent Supreme Court judgement affirming his victory in the March 18th gubernatorial election.

The move is seen as a definitive step in officially closing the chapter on the legal challenges to Otti’s mandate and reinforcing his legitimacy as the duly elected Governor of Abia State.

Governor Otti, accompanied by top party officials including Peter Obi, arrived at the INEC headquarters earlier today and was received by the Acting Chairman, Sam Olumekun, and other National Commissioners.

Both parties engaged in discussions centered on enhancing collaboration and reinforcing democratic values.

“Olumekun reaffirmed the commission’s unwavering commitment to neutrality, transparency, and the rule of law in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities.”

The CTC, bearing the official stamp and seal of the Supreme Court, was presented to INEC officials, formally documenting the apex court’s unanimous decision which dismissed the appeal challenging Otti’s victory.

Speaking briefly to reporters after the submission, a spokesperson for the Labour Party delegation stated, “Today marks a significant step in ensuring full adherence to the rule of law.

We have presented INEC with the Certified True Copy of the Supreme Court judgement, which is the highest court in the land and its decision is final. This definitively puts to rest any lingering questions regarding Governor Otti’s victory.

We trust that INEC will now fully recognize and act upon this definitive legal pronouncement.”

The Supreme Court verdict had previously been widely celebrated by the Labour Party and supporters of Governor Otti, who viewed the legal challenges as attempts to undermine the will of the Abia electorate.

The presentation of the CTC to INEC is seen as a necessary procedural step to formally conclude the electoral process and allow Governor Otti to fully focus on delivering his mandate to the people of Abia State.

While INEC is yet to officially comment on the submission, it is widely expected that the electoral body will acknowledge the Supreme Court’s judgement and formally recognize its finality, effectively solidifying Governor Otti’s position and allowing him to govern without further legal distractions regarding his electoral victory.

This development is likely to be welcomed by the people of Abia State who are eager for stable governance and the implementation of the development agenda promised by Governor Otti and the Labour Party.

The focus now shifts to governance and the fulfillment of campaign promises as Abia State moves forward under Governor Otti’s leadership.
