Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has convened a meeting with the party’s state chairmen at the APC secretariat Abuja. This gathering followed his recent discussions with state governors and aimed to address the current issues within the party.

Senator Adamu emphasized that the meeting was organized by the National Working Committee (NWC) to deliberate on the party’s developments. He also expressed his desire for political support from President Bola Tinubu on behalf of the party stakeholders.

The national chairman informed the state chairmen that the scheduled National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting had been postponed due to President Tinubu’s absence. The president was abroad attending the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

During the gathering, Alphonsus Oga, Secretary of the Forum of APC State Chairmen and Chairman of Cross River State APC, reaffirmed the forum’s confidence in the leadership of Senator Adamu and the NWC.

Regarding federal appointments, Oga mentioned that the state chapters of the party had been instructed to consult with their respective governors or other relevant stakeholders in non-APC states to recommend suitable candidates to the president.

In an effort to address the growing discontent within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the party’s National Chairman engaged the APC state chairmen, providing them with updates on his leadership.
