The All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that it has not yet received formal notification of the suspension order against Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the Chairman of the party in Kano State. Prof. Abdulkarim Kana, the National Leader Adviser of the APC, made this assertion during a press briefing at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
Speaking to journalists, Kana emphasized that the party had not been served with the order issued by the Kano State High Court suspending Ganduje from office. He criticized the judgement, labeling it as faulty and alleging fraudulent practices in obtaining it.
“We heard this afternoon, but we have not seen any court order. They used the same fraudulent document in court. But whatever kind of order that will emanate from such judgement is an unlawful order because it is obtained by fraud,” Kana asserted.
Furthermore, Kana questioned the legitimacy of those behind Ganduje’s suspension, stating that they were not recognized members of the APC or the Kano State executive committee. He clarified that the authentic executives of Dawakin Tofa ward had distanced themselves from the purported suspension of Ganduje from the party.
In response to the situation, Kana revealed that the party’s leadership was preparing to petition the National Judicial Council (NJC) over the matter. Additionally, he disclosed that the APC had lodged a complaint with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) urging action on the issue.
Earlier, executives of the party from Dawakin Tofa visited Ganduje to express their dissatisfaction with the suspension. This move underscores the internal discord within the party and the need for resolution to maintain unity and stability.
As the situation unfolds, the APC awaits official communication regarding Ganduje’s suspension while simultaneously pursuing legal and administrative avenues to address the matter.
