The Chief of Army Staff presented a special scholarship award to Miss Bukar Nana Fatima Bolori.
The event took place at the conference hall of the theatre Commander Operation Hadin Kai Maiduguri
The scholarship award of five hundred thousand naira per session for a 5-year course was aimed at fostering education and empowering academic pursuit.
The award came from the Army Staff Department of Civil-Military Relations.
The Chief of Army Staff, General Taoreed Lagbaja, represented by Major General Waidi Shaibu, said the scholarship award was meant to improve education in the council and foster development.
He added that Miss Bukar Nana Fatima Bolori would receive five hundred thousand naira every session for the period of 5 years to study Islamic law at the University of Maiduguri. He also thanked the Chief of Army Staff for the initiative.
In her vote of thanks, the recipient, Miss Bukar Nana Fatima Bolori, appreciated the Chief of Army Staff for appointing her as a beneficiary of the award.
