The Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has received documents for 43.746 hectares of land allocated to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) by the Kaduna State Government in a brief ceremony at NAF Headquarters on October 25, 2023. The documents were presented by the Administrator of the Kaduna Capital Territory Authority (KCTA), Sam Aruwan, who represented the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Sani Uba.
The Air Chief expressed his gratitude to Governor Uba and the people of Kaduna State for the generous gesture. He emphasized the enduring and harmonious relationship between the NAF and Kaduna State, dating back to the 1960s. Air Marshal Abubakar highlighted that Kaduna State is home to the NAF’s premier base and remains a cherished location for NAF personnel, both serving and retired, regardless of their states of origin.

The CAS assured that the allocated land would be used for the development of affordable Post-Service Housing Estates, primarily benefiting NAF Senior Non-Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Officers.
Air Marshal Abubakar reiterated the NAF’s commitment to the well-being of its personnel, recognizing that the operational success of the NAF depends on a highly motivated force. He emphasized that a motivated and dedicated workforce is the most valuable resource of the NAF.
The allocation of 43.746 hectares of land represents the first of two approvals expected from the Kaduna State Government. The second approval, encompassing an additional 44.894 hectares, is anticipated upon the completion of all required processes outlined by KCTA.
