As part of the visit, General Lagbaja inaugurated a significant infrastructure project—a 7.5-kilometer road—constructed by the Nigerian Army Engineers within the Joe Akahan Military Cantonment. The purpose of this project is to enhance the overall infrastructure of the barracks. The COAS, while commissioning the road, urged the Barracks community to value and preserve this new asset. Additionally, he assured them of the Nigerian Army’s commitment to providing more infrastructure and social amenities to improve the well-being of soldiers and their families.

This initiative not only focuses on addressing immediate security concerns but also emphasizes the importance of enhancing the living conditions of military personnel and their families within the barracks.
