Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced yet another reduction in the prices of diesel and aviation fuel, bringing relief to consumers amid economic challenges in Nigeria. The refinery now offers diesel at N940 per litre and aviation fuel at N980 per litre.

This latest price adjustment follows the refinery’s recent price reduction to N1,000 per litre just two weeks ago, which was widely celebrated. The new pricing scheme offers N940 per litre for customers purchasing five million litres and above, and N970 per litre for those buying one million litres and above.

Mr. Anthony Chiejina, Head of Communication for Dangote Petroleum Refinery, emphasized the company’s commitment to easing economic hardship in Nigeria. He stated, “Dangote Petroleum Refinery has entered a strategic partnership with MRS Oil and Gas stations to ensure consumers can buy fuel at affordable prices across their stations nationwide.”

Chiejina highlighted the availability of diesel at N1,050 per litre and aviation fuel at N980 per litre at all major airports where MRS operates. This partnership aims to prevent retail buyers from purchasing fuel at exorbitant prices. He further mentioned plans to extend this partnership to other major oil marketers.

The continuous reduction in fuel prices by Dangote Petroleum Refinery marks a significant effort to alleviate economic challenges in the country. Previously, the refinery lowered diesel prices from N1,700 to N1,200 per litre, and then to N1,000 per litre. Now, with the latest adjustment, diesel is available at N940 per litre and aviation fuel at N980 per litre.
