The public presentation of a book authored by the President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) and the wife of the Chief of Army Staff took place at the NAOWA Events Centre in Abuja.

Distinguished guests, including former First Lady Hajiya Maryam Abacha, representatives of state governors, wives of serving and former governors, service chiefs, retired army chiefs, presidents of DEPOWA, NOWA, NAFOWA, past President of NAOWA, and the wives of serving and retired senior military officers, graced the occasion.

Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, was represented by Senator (Prof.) Nora Daduut, she assured the wives of military officers of her commitment to uplifting the status of women and children in the country, especially within Army barracks. She commended Mrs. Yahaya, the author, for her resilience and wisdom in writing the book.

Appreciation from the Army Chief

Lieutenant General Yahaya, the Chief of Army Staff, expressed his gratitude for the efforts and support of his wife, the author. He acknowledged that the book focuses on NAOWA as an organization, drawing from experiences and providing practical insights into leadership.

Author’s Perspective

In her address, Mrs. Salamatu Yahaya, the author, explained that she wrote the book to show appreciation to past leaders of NAOWA, inspire present members, and establish a strong foundation for future leaders.

Commendation from the Chief of Naval Staff

Vice Admiral AZ Gambo, the Chief of Naval Staff, expressed his satisfaction with the book, highlighting its potential to provide knowledge and wisdom for future leaders.

Review by Prof. Asabe Kabir Usman Prof. Asabe Kabir Usman from Uthman Danfodio University in Sokoto, the book reviewer, praised the book as a masterpiece. She admired the author’s ability to convey clear and concise content despite her literary prowess.

Chief Launcher Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu served as the chief launcher at the event. He expressed hope that the book would provide aspiring leaders with valuable insights into the intricacies of leadership.
