Getafe boss rues Uche’s absence ahead of Madrid clash
Getafe boss José Bordalás has confirmed that the club will be without influential Nigerian midfielder Christantus Uche when they host Real Madrid on Wednesday (today) in a La Liga match-day 33 clash.
Uche, one of Getafe’s standout performers this season, is suspended following a red card in their 1-0 defeat away to Espanyol last weekend — his second sending-off of the campaign.
Despite the blow, Bordalás insists his team must remain focused and not dwell on the absence of one of their brightest talents.
“We’re missing Nyom, Diego Rico, and Uche due to suspension. We’re not looking at the absences, we’re looking at the players we have,” said Bordalás during his pre-match press conference as per Marca.
