The House of Representatives has affirmed its commitment to revitalizing Nigeria’s Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) sector, aiming to stimulate economic growth and diversification, promote social development, and enhance global competitiveness.
Honorable Bagos Dachung Musa, Chairman of the House Committee on Science and Technology, made this pledge in Abuja during the committee’s inauguration.
He acknowledged the current state of the nation’s science and technology as being at its lowest point and assured that the 10th Assembly is determined to alter this unfavorable situation.
He also reiterated the committee’s intentions to conduct visits to various educational institutions, including science and technical secondary and tertiary institutions, to foster innovation, identify areas of specific needs, and facilitate legislative interventions.
