The Ika community in Ika Local Government Area of Abuja came together in full force over the weekend to pay tribute to one of their esteemed sons, Lucky Ehiwuogun Monye, who marked his 50th birthday milestone. Monye, the Managing Director of Monaco Security Ltd, was showered with praise and accolades by both the young and old residents of Agbor land at a vibrant event held at Grand Cubana Hotel.

The venue was teeming with attendees, including members of the Ika Progressive Union, Rotary Club of Abuja, private security practitioners, various Agbor groups, as well as friends and family of Monye. The gathering was a testament to the community’s deep admiration for Monye’s character, often referred to as that of “a good man.”

Guests enthusiastically recounted Monye’s philanthropic nature and his generous spirit, acknowledging him as a champion for the less fortunate.

Born on June 15, 1973, in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Monye Ehiwuogwu Lucky’s educational journey began at Ika Grammar School Agbor. He holds a degree in Banking and Finance from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. Further academic pursuits led him to acquire a Postgraduate Diploma and an MBA in Management from Imo State University, Owerri. Notably, he holds an MSC in Cyber Security from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, and is a distinguished member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

A dedicated Rotarian and a Past President of Rotary Club, Monye has also served as a Past Assistant Governor in District 9125. He’s an esteemed Security Consultant and the Managing Director of Monaco Ventures Nigeria Limited. Active in the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN) and the International Institute of Professional Security (IIPS), Monye is also recognized for his political involvement. He sought election for the House of Assembly in 2018, aspiring to represent Ika South Local Government Area. Moreover, he was an Aspirant for the House of Representatives in Ika Federal Constituency in 2022.

Beyond his professional achievements, Monye is the inaugural Ambassador of the Nigerian Super Eagles Supporters Club in Delta State. His commendable efforts have been rewarded with numerous awards. A dedicated social crusader, human welfare advocate, and environmental activist, he is the founder and president of the Monye Ehiwuogwu Lucky Foundation.

Monye is recognized for his outstanding philanthropy and diverse interests, including Golf, scrabble, Table Tennis, Badminton, reading, traveling, and mentoring young professionals.
