The Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, on Wednesday inaugurated the Nigeria Police Force Indoor Shooting Simulation Centre in Abuja on Wednesday, a facility designed to significantly enhance the training capabilities of the force. This state-of-the-art centre marks a new standard in law enforcement training in Nigeria and beyond.

During the inauguration, Egbetokun highlighted that the establishment of the centre is a exemplifies innovative spirit and collaborative efforts of the Nigeria Police and its partners, including Consortium of Simulation Technologies Ltd, Barcode Centre Ltd, and Automatic Identification and Mobility. “This Centre, being commissioned today, is a key resource for training and development within the Nigeria Police Force,” Egbetokun stated. “It will contribute to the overall professionalism and effectiveness of our law enforcement operations.”

The facility represents a major milestone in the Nigeria Police’s pursuit of excellence in training. It is specifically designed to provide officers with sophisticated and practical training, enabling them to refine their skills and respond to complex situations with confidence and precision. Training at this Centre will undoubtedly contribute to a reduction in shooting-related incidents involving officers and an increase in the overall effectiveness of our law enforcement operations.”
