The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani Socio-Cultural Association has voiced strong opposition to the planned national protest, citing concerns over the potential for unrest and disruption to national stability.
the National Secretary of the association Saleh Alhassan outlined several reasons for their stance against the protest.
He said
First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the government for the establishment of the Ministry of Livestock Development. This monumental step is a clear indication of the government’s recognition of the pivotal role that livestock farming plays in our nation’s economy, culture, and social fabric. The creation of this ministry signifies a new era for millions of livestock farmers and pastoralists who have long awaited such a dedicated and focused body to address their unique challenges and opportunities.
This ministry will undoubtedly pave the way for innovative solutions and policies aimed at enhancing the productivity, sustainability, and profitability of livestock farming in Nigeria aligning with Mr Presidents renewed hope agenda for every Nigerian. We anticipate that it will foster a more robust and supportive environment, promoting global best practices and introducing modern techniques that will revolutionize the sector. Moreover, it stands to significantly contribute to food security, job creation, and rural development. We are confident that this ministry will be a beacon of progress and development, and we eagerly look forward to working closely with it to achieve our shared goals.

In light of the numerous challenges currently facing our beloved nation, we at Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani wish to unequivocally and in strong terms state that we do not support or in any way will encourage our members to participate in the planned protests across the country. While we deeply feel the frustrations and grievances that many Nigerians are experiencing, we firmly believe that peaceful dialogue and constructive engagement with relevant authorities are far more effective and will continue to serve as a sustainable means of addressing these issues.
Our decision is guided by our commitment to maintaining peace, stability, and unity within our nation. We recognize that the current socio-economic challenges require a collective and measured response, rather than actions that could potentially exacerbate tensions and lead to further instability. We urge our members and all Nigerians to remain calm and patient, trusting in the process of dialogue and collaboration to bring about the necessary changes. We call upon all stakeholders to engage in open and honest discussions, seeking solutions that benefit the entire nation and promote lasting peace.
At this juncture we want to commend the tireless efforts of all security agencies in their ongoing fight against insecurity in our country. Their dedication, bravery, and sacrifice are evident in the significant strides that have been made thus far. The security agencies have been on the front lines, working under challenging conditions to protect lives and property, and for this, they deserve our utmost respect, gratitude and continuous support.
However, we also recognize that the complex nature of security challenges we face requires a multifaceted approach. Therefore, we urge these agencies to adopt more proactive and non-kinetic strategies in their operations. Involving key stakeholders in developing comprehensive and inclusive strategies to address the root causes of insecurity. By fostering cooperation and building trust with these communities, we can create a more secure and harmonious environment.
Furthermore, we call on the government and security agencies to prioritize the welfare and protection of pastoralists who often find themselves vulnerable to attacks and conflicts. It is imperative to ensure that their rights and livelihoods are safeguarded, and that they are integrated into broader security and development frameworks. By addressing their specific needs and challenges, we can promote social cohesion and prevent the marginalization of any group.
In conclusion, we reiterate our commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, security, and sustainable development. We call on all our members, fellow citizens, and stakeholders to join us in these efforts, as we strive to build a stronger, more resilient, and united Nigeria. Together, we can overcome our challenges and create a future of prosperity and harmony for all.
