Nigeria Police Force Hosts 2024 Christmas Carol with Senate President Akpabio and Pastor Adeboye

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) held its Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Police Resource Centre, Jabi, Abuja. Themed “Emmanuel”, inspired by Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:23, the event celebrated the birth of Christ with joy, unity, and spiritual upliftment.

Dignitaries and Inspiring Highlights

The event was graced by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who served as the Guest of Honour. He was warmly received by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, alongside other dignitaries, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ben Kalu, and several senators and lawmakers.

A special highlight of the evening was the powerful ministration by Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, who delivered an inspiring message of hope, love, and faith.

A Night of Festive Spirit and Worship

The carol featured soul-stirring hymns, prayers, and scripture readings led by the Nigeria Police Choir and other participants. Attendees described the celebration as spiritually uplifting and a memorable way to usher in the festive season.

In his remarks, IGP Egbetokun emphasized the essence of the season, stating, “The Christmas season signifies God’s ultimate love to humanity. May we partake in this season by sharing selfless love with those around us, and may this love bring peace and progress to our nation.”
