Nigerian Army to Deploy 6,195 new Recruits across the Country

The Nigerian Army will deploy 6,195 newly trained regular combatants across the country to strengthen its operations and boost manpower. These recruits, who make up the 88 Regular Recruit Intake, began their intensive six-month training at the Depot Nigerian Army in Zaria on January 13 and have successfully completed the programme.

Although 6,450 candidates initially began the training, 255 dropped out before completion. The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, will review the new soldiers during their passing out parade.

The Army will assign the new recruits to various operational theatres nationwide to confront the country’s security challenges. Before deployment, the recruits will receive specialised training tailored to their specific roles and areas of responsibility.
