Police operatives in Rivers State have arrested a suspected car snatcher, Felix Clark, and recovered a stolen vehicle in his possession.
According to a statement on Wednesday by the police spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, officers from the Anti-Cultism Unit intercepted Clark at about 11:30 a.m. while he was riding a bicycle along Abacha Road in the GRA area. During a search, they found seven master keys on him.
Following his arrest, investigators interrogated the suspect and later recovered a red Hyundai Sonata with registration number EKY 531 GG—previously reported stolen—from his residence.
Clark reportedly gave useful information to the police, naming other gang members believed to be operating in Delta, Edo, and Lagos states.
SP Iringe-Koko added that investigations are ongoing and the public will receive further updates as the case progresses.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, CP Olugbenga Adewole Adepoju, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property. He urged residents to continue supporting the police by providing credible and timely information.
