Police Uncover Alleged 30 Million Naira Extortion Scandal by STS Operatives: Officers Apprehended, Accomplices in Custody as Trials Progress

In a resolute stance against corruption and extortion, the police force is committed to upholding its zero-tolerance policy, as highlighted in the recent disclosure of an alleged case involving armed robbery, abduction, and extortion perpetrated by members of the Special Tactical Squad (STS) against an Abuja resident, Mr. Omoh Oshoke.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Muyiwa Adejobi, the Force Spokesman conveyed this information in a press statement, revealing that the three implicated officers, namely Inspectors Francis Ahuean, Semiu Agbaakin, and Osagie Efford, all attached to the FID-STS, have been apprehended, subjected to thorough investigation, and are presently undergoing trial.

Simultaneously, accomplices associated with the incident have also been taken into custody. Elizabeth Amos Busayo, identified as the Point of Sale (POS) operator involved, and Thomas Michael, who served as an informant for the implicated police officers, are currently under investigation alongside the law enforcement personnel.

The police force asserts its commitment to ensuring justice prevails in this case. ACP Adejobi emphasized the imperative for officers to consistently adhere to the law while discharging their duties, reinforcing the importance of operating within the legal framework.
