The Presidency responded on Wednesday to the statement attributed to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) claiming that the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government under President Bola Tinubu is implementing policies that harm the people.
The Presidency, represented by Mr. Dele Alake, the Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, asserted that the PDP’s remarks stem from their envy of the ruling party’s accomplishments in just three weeks
. Furthermore, Alake mentioned that it is expected for the PDP, who allegedly lacked the mental capacity and managerial skills during their 16-year tenure, to make even more negative statements in the days ahead. Responding to the alleged anti-people policies, Alake remarked,
“However, the PDP will say that; they will even say worse. What they are saying is quite mild, considering their track record.”
Alake continued, “We anticipate them making even harsher comments because throughout their time in power, they lacked the courage, mental capacity, physical resources, and vision to achieve what the government has accomplished in such a short period.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has achieved what they failed to do in 16 years of holding the presidency of this country in just three weeks. So, what do you expect them to say? Their envy is natural, given their inability to match the mental capacity, physical resources, and managerial expertise required to attain such ambitious goals.”
