President Bola Tinubu has issued instructions for the reinstatement of the Presidential Delivery Tracker, enabling Nigerians to monitor project implementations nationwide in real-time.
During the conclusion of the three-day Cabinet Retreat in Abuja on Friday, the President reiterated his commitment to involving citizens directly in governance, emphasizing the importance of affording all Nigerians the opportunity to track and report on project progress across the nation.
President Tinubu further announced that he has tasked his Special Adviser on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, with promptly reactivating the tracking system.
This reactivation will harness state-of-the-art digital innovations to provide real-time oversight capabilities for the benefit of all Nigerians.
Additionally, President Bola Tinubu expressed gratitude to France for the return of $150 million, previously embezzled by former Head of State, General Sani Abacha.
He also acknowledged the signing of a €100 million agreement between Nigeria and France to support the i-DICE program, a Federal Government initiative aimed at promoting investments in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Creative Arts Industries.
The agreement was formally signed by Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Technology, and the French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs at a prior event held at Tafawa Balewa House, the headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
