The Borno State Government, has vowed to prevent any future displacement of communities by Boko Haram insurgents, asserting its commitment to safeguarding the lives and properties of its citizens. This declaration was made in response to the recent threat of attacks by the terrorist group.
The Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum revealed this in a statement obtained by TV PLATINUM on Sunday 2nd June 2024.
He said
“some conventional and social media have carried purported report of threat by ISWAP and Boko Haram to Kukawa community of Borno State giving ultimatum to residents to vacate the town or face attacks”.
“the one day visit to Kukawa Community becomes pertinent due to the threat of attack on Kukawa Community of Baga Local Government circulating the State which has rendered residents of the area hopeless and running halter skelters”
“I have met with the military officials on close door to discuss measures of averting the threat of attack on Kukawa and other surrounding communities to ensure the safety of all citizens”
” I hereby reaffirm my administration determination to protect lives and property of the venurable people in the state”.
