Supreme Court Denies Nnamdi Kanu’s Release, Orders Trial on Remaining Terrorism Charges

The attempt by Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to secure his release through the Supreme Court was unsuccessful. On Friday, the Supreme Court, in a judgment delivered by Justice Emmanuel Agim but written by Justice Garba Lawal, overturned the decision of the Court of Appeal from October of the previous year.
