The National Chairman of South-west Agenda for Tinubu (SWAGA), Senator Adedayo Adeyeye has described the election that produced the president -elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as one of the most successful, free and fair elections conducted in the history of Nigeria.
Senator Adeyeye made the indication while addressing journalists in a media conference in Abuja, Tuesday.
He stated that 2023 general election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was carried out with transparent method of accreditation, voting and duly in compliance to the electoral act, hereby making the last election more refined than the previous ones conducted in the country.
He mentioned that the election that produced the president elect, also produce Federal legislators from the major political parties, hence it would be unacceptable to reject the election of Asiwaju Tinubu and accept the legislators based on alleged rigging of the process.
Speaking further, Senator Adeyeye said that Nigerians have made their choices through the ballots, urging the aggrieved participants to approach the judiciary with were they felt have been cheated in the process, adding that street protest, and demonstration calling for interim government is an aberration and tantamount to calling for coup to truncate peaceful transition of democracy in the country.
