Wives of police officers offer relief to flood victims in Borno.

The President Police Officers Wives Association, Mrs. Elizabeth Egbetokun has provided relief to vulnerable women and widows of fallen police officers affected by the recent floods in Maiduguri. Mrs. Egbetokun donated food and other essential items to over 200 beneficiaries at a one-day working visit to the state. She also sympathized Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, the Borno State governor over the devasting impact of the flooding and the loss of lives. items donated include include 25 kg bags of rice, mattresses, toiletries, medical supplies, as well as clothing to each of the affected police families. In his welcome address, CP Yusufu Mohammed Lawal, Commissioner of Police in Borno said the flood was one of the worst disasters in the living history of the state since its creation in 1967. He added that her visit to the state was timely as the flood affected has a police barracks across the city, causing widespread destruction and displacement. Barr.
